FAQs

1. What age do you work with?

We support young people aged 11 to 21, and sometimes slightly older depending on their needs. We also work with parents and families alongside teenagers where appropriate.

2. What is the difference between mentoring and counselling?

Mentoring focuses on building confidence, emotional resilience, and practical tools to manage anxiety. Counselling offers a safe, therapeutic space to explore deeper emotions, challenges, or patterns. Together, they provide a flexible, joined-up approach.

3. Do you work with parents as well as teenagers?

Yes. We believe supporting the whole family creates stronger outcomes. Parents can book their own sessions or join family work to improve communication, connection, and understanding.

4. How many sessions will we need?

This depends on the individual or family's needs. Some people benefit from a short series of focused sessions, while others prefer longer-term support. We will always talk this through and create a plan that works for you.

5. What happens in the first session?

The first session is a chance to get to know each other and understand what support is needed. There is no pressure. It is a calm space to explore what is going on and how we can help.

6. How do I get started?
