“I am an integrative counsellor with a person-centred orientation: I believe in you, your courage and capacity to seek the self-awareness required to make the positive changes needed for self-acceptance, fulfilment, balance and joy. I can offer you a safe space to discover your real self, where and how you are experiencing conflict, your coping mechanisms and patterns of behaviour and how to enable successful, lifelong positivity from within.”
Counselling is led by Lucy, a warm and experienced Integrative counsellor offering;
Behavioural therapy, brief therapy, cbt, person-centred, solution focused brief therapy and motivational life coaching
I am a qualified counsellor with over 18 years’ experience as a housemistress, supporting teenagers throughout their journeys. That role gave me a deep understanding of the emotional and developmental challenges young people face — often quietly — as they grow, change, and try to make sense of themselves and the world around them.
I have a special interest in working with teenagers and families navigating anxiety, low self-esteem, emotional overwhelm, and the impact of life transitions or past experiences. My counselling approach is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and evidence-based practice. I draw on a range of methods including cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, and attachment-informed work to provide a safe, non-judgemental space where young people can begin to explore what is really going on beneath the surface.
I also work closely with parents and carers, helping them rebuild connection, open up communication, and strengthen relationships within the family. I believe that meaningful, lasting change happens when young people feel truly seen, heard, and supported — and when they are given the tools to understand themselves more fully, develop their own emotional language, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity.
Alongside Toby’s mentoring work, I offer therapeutic support that focuses on emotional healing and self-understanding. Together, we help young people and families feel more grounded, more connected, and more hopeful about what lies ahead.
I work with clients experiencing:
Abuse, addiction, ADHD, Autistic Spectrum challenges, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, emotional dysregulation, grief and bereavement, health issues, motivational issues, relationship difficulties, identity, menopause, OCD, parenting challenges, sexual issues, stress, self-harm, self-esteem issues, suicide and suicidal ideation.
